By Train

The University is easily accessible by train via Sheffield Station.

The university is around a 25 minute walk from the station. The hotel is slightly further, around a 40 minute walk from the station. The walk is generally up hill, so if you prefer, both the blue and yellow tram routes go from the Sheffield Station / Hallam University tram stop to the University of Sheffield tram stop. Tram tickets can be purchased on board from the conductor (card payment accepted), or ahead of time through the Travel South Yorkshire App.

Buses are easily accessible from the Sheffield Interchange a few minutes from the station. Black cab taxis and Ubers are both available from the taxi rank at the station.

By Car

The hotel has a first-come first-served car park available at £10/night.

There are numerous car parks in the city centre, though parking for multiple days can be expensive. The closest car park to the venue is the Q-Park Rockingham Street.

Hotel Information

Workshop attendees will be hosted at The Rutland Hotel. You will have your own individual en suite room and breakfast is included.
