2026 Oxford Hackathon

The 2026 Chaste Hackathon will be a “bring your own project” event held in Oxford, UK, on 16-17 September.

This is a hands-on, informal event for anyone using, or planning to use, cell-based Chaste in their research, for example to answer questions in developmental biology, cancer biology, or related areas of the life sciences. Bring along your own model, dataset, or research question and work on it over the two days.

Participants will benefit from dedicated time with people who can help develop your project from two angles:

  • Chaste developers, who can help you improve and optimise your code, debug issues, and point you in the right direction for making the most of Chaste’s functionality.
  • Experienced Chaste-affiliated PIs, who can give scientific guidance on whether your implementation is making the best use of Chaste to answer the biological questions at hand.

Travel and accommodation costs will be covered for UK-based early career researchers.

For dates, venue, timetable, registration, and all other logistics, see the Event Details page.
